Based on the pamphlet of the same name written by Swami Veda Bharati in 1997, the “Five Pillars of Sadhana” are some of the most important concepts for those treading the path of meditation. They bring us into a better understanding of ourselves, and they help us deepen our efforts both on retreat and in daily life. These concepts will be presented as in the book, but also with an ayurvedic perspective on what trips us up, preventing us from our fullest expression of our true nature.
Cynthia Gran, DAy, E-RYT 500, YACEP, has been treading the Himalayan path since the late 1970s. Cynthia and her husband, Gary, DAy. CYT, first attended the old Glenview Center in Illinois where they met and have served the tradition in various capacities over the years. They are both certified yoga teachers and Ayurvedic educators. They have published more than eighty articles on yoga, meditation and Ayurveda. They are currently in Minnesota for the summer teaching at The Meditation Center. They enjoy desert gardening, cooking and hiking at their home in Tucson, Arizona.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
