SUMMARY:Thursday Satsang: "Lessons Along The Path" with Rodney (Rajni) and Joann Huff - May 9\, 2019
DESCRIPTION:Thursday Satsang – May 9\, 2019\n“Lessons Along The Path”\nwith Rodney (Rajni) and Joann Huff\nEven with the many wonderful teachings available\, spiritual growth still requires constant experimentation with our mind\, body\, breath and emotions to stay balanced\, tranquil and happy. We’ll discuss some of the techniques that have been helpful for me\, and some stumbling blocks I’ve encountered along the way. We’ll also talk about the power of our attitudes. As Swami Rama states in Freedom from the Bondage of Karma\, “Life does not need to be changed; only our attitudes do.” \n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””] \n\n\n\n\nRodney Huff first came to the Center in January of 2000 and quickly took as many classes as he could. Since then he has traveled to India to study at Sadhana Mandir and Sadhaka Grama in Rishikesh. He began teaching Hatha yoga in 2003 and has been a regular teacher of Hatha Yoga (I & II) as well as Meditation I. Rodney is grateful for the opportunity to teach at a place as special as the Meditation Center. The teachings he received transformed his life\, and he hopes that each of his students can have an equally rewarding experience.\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\n\n\n\n\n\n\n6:00 p.m. Hatha Yoga with Paul Emerson\n7:00 p.m. Meditation with Swami Radha Bharati\n7:30 p.m. Talk by Rodney Huff\n8:30 p.m. No Soup Because of TMC Kitchen Remodel\n9:00 p.m. Prayers and Meditation\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\n\n\nAll are welcome! SUMMARY:Mothers' Day Sunday Tea with Swami Radha Bharati\, 10:00am - Noon
DESCRIPTION:Mothers’ Day Sunday Tea with Swami Radha Bharati\n10:00am – Noon\n\n\n..Women possess a unique magic.  As women we are able to call forth life from the other side\, and cultivate that life in the quiet space below our hearts.  Within our bodies we hold an opening to the divine\, a portal that allows souls to enter into this world.\n(From “Sacred Instructions: Indigenous Wisdom for Living Spirit-Based Change” by Sherri Mitchell\, page 121)\n\nEveryone has a biological mother. There is no other way for a soul desiring life in this world to enter but through a mother’s womb. Mothers not only nurture life into being; but they also protect the life that they have brought forth.  Swami Rama says there is no finer example of love than how a mother selflessly nurtures\, protects and cares for that life.  No matter who the mother is\, what the conditions are or where in the world she is\, a mother\, even if flawed\, will nurture and protect her young. It is in recognition of this truth that we honor our mothers on Mother’s Day.\n\nTea and coffee cake will be served.\n\n\n  \n\n\nThere will be no Sunday Satsang on May 12th.

SUMMARY:Thursday Satsang: "Open Mind\, Open Heart\, Open Will\, Open Access to the Divine” with Dr. Paul R. Scheele - May 16\, 2019
DESCRIPTION:Thursday Satsang – May 16\, 2019\n“Open Mind\, Open Heart\, Open Will\, Open Access to the Divine” with Dr. Paul R. Scheele\n  \nWho we are is “Ever Free\, Ever Pure\, Ever Wise.” Think of these as our spiritual gifts of Free Will\, Pure Heart\, and Wise Mind. It is our divine nature to feel and express these natural qualities. However\, three fears of insufficiency commonly impede our realization of our true nature. Those fears are carefully guarded by the ego\, so that they remain hidden from others and keep us from feeling vulnerable. When the brain and mind work together\, you can cast off the fears and re-assign the protector duty of the ego to facilitate spiritual liberation. \nPaul R. Scheele\, Ph.D. is CEO of Scheele Learning Systems\, and co-founder of Learning Strategies Corporation. He is author of Drop Into Genius\, and Natural Brilliance. He is also co-author of Meditate with the Himalayan Masters\, with Swami Veda Bharati. Paul has been meditating in the Himalayan Tradition since 1973 and helped create the Association of Himalayan Yoga Meditation Societies International in Rishikesh\, India\, in 2007. \nAll are welcome! Come for the entire evening\, or join at any time. There is no need to make reservations. Simply show up and enjoy yourself!\nWeekly Format:\n6:00 – 7:00: Hatha Yoga for Everyone!
