SUMMARY:Thursday Satsang: "The Vasudeva Principle" with Swami Radha Bharati and Michael Smith - July 5\, 2018
DESCRIPTION:Thursday Satsang  – July 5\, 2018\n“The Vasudeva Principle”\nwith Swami Radha Bharati and Michael Smith\n\n\n\n\n\nThe theme for this year’s 40-Day Spiritual Festival is the Vasudeva Principle.\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\nThis Thursday Swami Radha and Michael Smith will explain what this principle is and how we can apply it in our daily lives.\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\nWhy do people ask\, “What is the difference?”\nWhy do people not ask\, “What is the unity? What is the connection?” (Swami Veda Bharati)\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\nIf one were to point to one universal principle which encompasses all religions and ethical standards\, it would be the Vasudeva Principle.\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\nSarva sharī reshu chaitanya-eka-tānatā dhyānam:\n“To recognize in all the bodies\none single continuum of consciousness\nis meditation.”\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\nWhy does anyone want to do something for others?  Where does this motivation come from?  Where does this loving tendency in human beings come from?  That love comes from when one has become aware of the unity in diversity and realizes that we are all one essentially.” (Swami Rama of the Himalayas)\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\nThe Vasudeva Principle may be the only saving grace for the times we are now facing.\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n6:00 p.m. Hatha Yoga\n\n7:00 p.m. Meditation with Michael Smith\n7:30 p.m. Presentation  \nby Swami Radha Bharati and Michael Smith\n\n8:30 p.m. Soup\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=””]\n\n\n\n\n“Vasudeva Principle”\nby Swami Veda Bharati\n\nIn the Bhagavad Gita\, we read “vasudeva sarvam”. That indwelling One is All. There is no other in relation-to\, or conditioned-by. What do we mean by the indweller\, the indwelling force? One of the many ways\, the word “vasudeva” is translated in Bhagavad Gita is the “indwelling deity”. This is closely related to the word “vasu”\, meaning\, “all places”\, for all places are dwelling places of divinity. Vasu is also the “hamsa”\, that swan of the universal prana dwelling every-where in every-thing. Vasu-mana is also one of the thousand names of Shiva in the Mahabharata. Vasu-mana means beautiful mind\, a mind that dwells as light in Being\, and therefore\, Vasu is the beautiful\, light-filled\, indwelling force…\n\n\n\n\n\n.
