Swami Radha Bharati has been a disciple of Swami Rama of the Himalayas since 1970 and initiated into sannyasa (renunciation) by Swami Veda Bharati in 2007. Most recently she has been serving as Academic Director of Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama Ashram in Rishikesh, India. Swami Radha has been designated a mantra initiator and serves on the AHYMSIN Adhyatama Samiti, or Spiritual Committee. She holds an MA and has done further studies in Comparative Philosophy and also has an MA in Public Affairs from Humphrey Institute. She was a lecturer in Philosophy and Ethics at the University of Hawaii and other colleges and worked in Policy Development in Minnesota state government. Currently Swami Radha is teaching internationally in the US, Europe, and Asia.
