“Hip Opening for Sitting Poses “

Friday evening –  7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Tired of tight hips limiting your sitting poses?  Learn simple methods to address tight hip adductors, adhesions to your I-T bands, and other restrictions preventing comfortable seated postures. Also learn to effectively support seated poses. Please wear clothing that does not restrict positioning.

“Keeping Wrists, Knees, and Ankles from Troubling Your Asanas”

Saturday morning –  10:00 am to 12:00 noon

Learn effective methods for maintaining these joints and preventing injury in asana practice. Self or partner applied neuromuscular techniques will be taught as well as proper alignment in poses to prevent injury to these joints.

“Upper Body, Neck, and Cranial Preparation for Simple Inversions”

Saturday afternoon –  2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Self-applied neuromuscular and cranial techniques to improve comfort in poses, both beginning (rabbit or bridge) to advanced (head stand or shoulder stand). Also learn how to comfortably build upper body strengthening into your yoga routines to assist steadiness without strain.

“Alignment and Energetics in Yoga Practice”

Sunday morning – 10:00 am to 12:00 noon

This session will be a progression of asana, pranayama, and meditation with focus on pranamaya kosha. We will incorporate poses, breath practices, and meditation with emphasis on attending to energetic flows and balance.
