“Season of Love”
with Swami Radha Bharati
Christmas is called the season of Love. Indeed there’s a certain spirited energy that pervades the air at Christmas time. We all feel it. Is it love that motivates us to reach out to others, to share, to give, to light up our environment, to open our hearts as well as our wallets? Everyone seems a little energized in their interactions, even if it manifests in loneliness or depression. The Scrouges and Grinches of the world also react, but with hardened hearts and closed minds they try to stop it all from happening.
Let’s explore the dynamics of love as taught in the Himalayan Tradition. We will find out how these dynamics apply to one’s spiritual path and goals in family life.
Swami Ma Radha Bharati earned an M.A. in philosophy and commenced doctoral studies in Eastern and Western philosophy with emphasis on views of the self and mind. She has taught philosophy at a number of schools including the University of Hawaii. She received a fellowship from the Humphrey Institute in Public Policy. Swami Ma Radha was initiated by H.H. Sri Swami Rama 33 years ago and has been an active member of The Meditation Center community ever since.
