“Three chapters in the latter part of the Skanda Purana, one of the most widely read of the 18 Puranas composed by Sage Vyasa, comprise the verses referred to as the Guru Gita, the “Song in Praise of the Guru”. The verses are the dialogue between Shiva and Parvati that serve as a fount of knowledge and wisdom about the Guru, the Guru’s power and greatness, and specific ways of paying adoration.” ~Stoma on 6/27/24~
