“Mauna Amavasya Day”

 

Join us for a day of immersion into the vastness of blissful silence during the auspicious day of “Mauna Amavasya,” on Wednesday, January 29th.

“Mauna Amavasya” is observed during this special day of No Moon which offers transformative opportunities through silence practice.

‘You may join for the entire day or at any point during the program for however much time you are able to stay. The schedule will start at 6:00 a.m. with Morning Prayers in the Himalayan Tradition, and will include practices such as silent Joints and Glands exercises, pranayama, unguided meditation, guided subtle body practices. The program will conclude after evening meditation and evening prayers at 9:00 p.m.

SCHEDULE

6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

In Person Only Event

(A bell will be rung at scheduled start times)

Participants may attend all or part of the program while maintaining silence throughout the day.

Please RSVP for your intended participation.

6:00-7:00 a.m.: Morning Prayers in the Himalayan Tradition, Silent Meditation.

7:00-8:00 a.m.: Silent Pranayama, Joints and Glands.

8:00-10:00 a.m.: Communal Breakfast Prep and Cleanup.

10:00-11:00 a.m.: Contemplative Walking (indoors or out, weather permitting).

11:00-12:00 Noon: 108 Nadi Shodhana, Silent Meditation.

12:00-1:00 p.m.: Lunch–Vegan Soup, Bread, Fruit, Cleanup.

 

1:00-3:00 p.m.: Digestive Breathing, Individual Participation in Japa

(Personal, Saumya, Ganapati, Purash Charana.)

3:00-5:00 p.m.: Subtle Body Practices (guided), Meditation (silent)

5:00-6:30 p.m.: Help Prepare Light Supper and Cleanup.

6:30-8:00 p.m.: Individual Participation Japa (Personal, Saumya, Ganapati), journaling.

8:00-9:00 p.m.: Meditation and Evening Prayers.

 

The focus throughout the day will be on “Ganapati Mantra” for enhancing and stabilizing our practice as we travel through this “Decade of Loving Transformation”, as well as “Saumya Mantra” for inner calm, love and compassion that has been indicated as a worldwide sangha practice until February 10, 2025
