Please join us for a deep dive into Ayurveda’s concept of our mutual relationship with the natural world. The sun, moon and wind represent powerful external forces that have a definite effect on our health and well-being. Yet they are also powerful internal forces that can be enhanced and harmonized.
yad brahmande tat pinde, yat pinde tad brahmande:
“Whatever is in the universe is in the body;
whatever is in the body is in the universe.”
In this session, we will explore the practical aspects of:
- Surya Vidya, the solar science, from both the modern scientific and the traditional yogic points of view.
- Chandra Vidya, the lunar science including the importance of soma and ojas as refined qualities of the water element.
- Prana Vidya, the science of the life-force, and its role as yogavahi, the enhancer.
- The connection between Ayurveda and Yoga practice.
And we will reflect on the profound connection between our inner world and the outer world. Our goal will be to move towards greater balance and harmony with Life. May all be well. May all know peace.
“Just like the clouds move from one place to another being carried by the winds, the other elements of the body too move from one place to the other only when carried by vayu, the wind.” – Sarngadhara Samhita
All are welcome for this fun and informative session, as we share and ponder nature and the teachings of the sages together.
