Thursday Satsang: “Biofeedback for Stress Management” with Daniel Hertz – April 6, 2017
Biofeedback can help you support and refine your Meditation practice. The goal is to learn self-regulation. It is a key to increasing Stress Management skills. It allows us to apply the skills learned through our Meditation practice and to check our progress. The 3 keys to learning self-regulation will be shared and discussed. In addition, a detailed description of diaphragmatic breathing will be presented and practiced. Much of the hour will be spent demonstrating the capacity of the Biofeedback equipment by connecting the sensors to several volunteers. Sensors include respiration, muscle tension, skin temperature, skin conductance, and heart rate.
Daniel Hertz is on the faculty at The Meditation Center. He is internationally certified in both Yoga/Meditation (E-RYT 500) and Biofeedback (BCIA.org). Individual Biofeedback sessions have been offered by Daniel at The Meditation Center since 2007. To sign up for an individual session, please use the Contact Form at the Biofeedback link on the Center website.
