“Finding Peace Through Santosha (Contentment”)
with Jim Nelson
Jim will facilitate an interactive exploration of how to skillfully manifest contentment when the world and circumstance conspire against it.
Jim Nelson, MA, LC, worked for many years as a high school social studies teacher and as family counselor as well as a counselor for troubled youth. He wrote the book, Running on Empty: Transcending the Economic Culture’s Seduction of Our Youth, and has taught meditation classes at TMC for over 30 years. He continues to facilitate Silence Retreats in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and California. In his book, Jim opened our eyes to what is occurring to American youth and utilizes this Four-Step Analysis to provide sensible, practical ways of guiding children in a positive new direction.
