Once again, we’ll use the “Charaka Samhita” to guide us in our discussion of Ayurvedic principles and practices for the preservation of health. In this session, we’ll first consider some timely health tips and yoga practices for entering the fall season.
The autumnal equinox is considered to be the sunset of the year,
when day and night are in equal balance.
Then we’ll begin chapter seven on how to work with our biological urges and our psychological urges. We’ll be encouraged to restrain certain urges and to express others.
“Give way to your natural human urges—the urge to give, the urge to share, the urge to make sacrifice for others, the urge to knowledge, the natural urge to peace.” – Swami Veda Bharati
Please bring your ‘beginner’s mind’ and join us as we listen deeply to the words of the sages and share our reflections. Participation is invited! Attendance at prior meetings is not required. All are welcome.
