Please join us for the next meeting of our Ayurvedic study group. Attendance at prior meetings is not required. All are welcome.
For this class, we’ll review some key concepts from Chapter 1 of the CharakaSamhita as we delve into the all important sutras on the use of herbs and medicinals to restore and maintain good health.
This session will conclude our study of the first four chapters of Charaka on Longevity. Next year we’ll begin a new section called “On the Preservation of Health.”
Please bring your ‘beginner’s mind’ and join us as we listen deeply and reflect on the words of the sages.

Gary and Cynthia Gran have been treading the Himalayan path since the late 1970s. They met at the old Glenview Center in Illinois and have served the tradition in various capacities over the years. They are both certified yoga teachers and Ayurvedic educators. They have published more than eighty articles on yoga, meditation and Ayurveda. They are once again enjoying desert gardening, cooking and hiking at their home in Tucson, Arizona.
