This workshop will introduce the basic concepts of the energy psychology paradigm called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and is based on the texts “Chariot of Sadhana,” by Drs. Martin and Marian Jerry, and Swami Veda Bharati; and “EFT for Meditation” by Charles and Carol Crenshaw. Our focus will be on the two ‘wheels’ of the chariot: abhyasa (practice) and vairagya (non-attachment) as explained in “The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali”, and learning how to use EFT.
Charles B. Crenshaw Jr. M.S., M.DW. and Carol Crenshaw M.Ed., M.S. are both graduates of Swami Rama’s Master’s degree Program in Eastern Studies and former directors of the Himalayan Institute of New York City (HINY). While directors of HINY they both worked at the Center for Holistic Medicine: Carol doing yoga therapy, biofeedback training, dietary counseling, and general counseling; Charles doing yoga therapy, biofeedback training and hypnotherapy.
They are the co-founders of the 501 c3 non-profit educational organization – Inner Peace Yoga Center in Indianapolis. Both are Certified IAYT Yoga Therapists, Certified Clinical EFT Practitioners (authors of EFT for Meditation), Consulting Hypnotists, NLP Practitioners, and Touch for Health Practitioners.
They both are initiators in the tradition and are senior teachers with AHYMSIN and its TTP program. Charles is the author of “Pathless Path: God, Grace, Guru: an African-American life transformed through yoga and meditation.”
