Thursday Satsang: – Wudang Mountain Daoist Meditation with Master Zhong Xuechao (Master Bing) – May 4, 2017

Wudang Mountain has a long history of meditation practices spanning over two thousand years. In Daoist tradition meditation is a practice used to cultivate a calm heart, healthy body, and still mind. It is believed that through a calm heart,  one can finally know his or her authentic self, living a balanced life, and skillfully managing the stresses of the world. Please join us for a discussion with Master Zhong Xuechao (aka Master Bing) on the topic of traditional Daoist meditation as it is practiced in the temples of Wudang Mt., China. The discussion will include a brief commentary on the famous Nei Jing Tu (Inner Alchemy Chart) and how through Daoist meditation one learns to turn Jing (essence) into Chi (energy), then Qi into Shen (spirit), and then finally Shen into Xu (nothingness), traveling from nothingness back to the Dao, the source of all.

Zhong Xuechao (aka Master Bing) is a 15th generation Wudang Sanfeng Kungfu master and Daoist priest. Master Bing started his Wudang martial arts and internal cultivation training when he was 6 years old, and has been training in Wudang Mountain since 1992 under the Sanfeng Kungfu Grandmaster Zhong Yunlong.
