“The Transformative Power of Silence”
with Jim Nelson
Silence is the greatest communication. It is the language which transcends the static of our minds and allows us to experience the true Self beyond the limitations of mind. Being in communion, in unity with that Self brings peace, joy, and love unencumbered by our ideas of peace, joy, and love. In the fullness of Self, our cravings, fruitless seeking, and loneliness end. Our exhausting journey in the desert of the senses is satiated and questions and desires naturally abate. Silence is like a “short cut” between two non-points, a direct route to our Center—where we come home to pure Being. Psychologist Jim Nelson will lead a short Swami Veda meditation, which progressively brings the meditator into subtler realms of silence. The session will be interactive, contemplative, and include research proven benefits of Silence, and personal stories from people who recently attended the Silence retreat at Dunrovin.
