Combination Meditation I, Biofeedback, and Gentle Yoga

In addition to completing the Meditation I curriculum described below, each week there will be a demonstration of a different Biofeedback modality. Any interested class members will get a chance to try out the Biofeedback equipment. Also included will be gentle joints and glands stretches and guided relaxations.
Meditation I – Learning the Basics
This class introduces the student to the basics of meditation in the Himalayan Tradition. Relaxation techniques, pranayama (yogic breath), ideal sitting postures, and the use of mantra will be taught to help the student focus the mind and relax the body. Beginning Raja yoga philosophy is also included in this class. Treat yourself to the many benefits of a regular meditation practice.
Daniel Hertz, MS, BCB, E-RYT 500 has been on the faculty of The Meditation Center since 1995 and has been offering individual Biofeedback sessions since 2007. He is internationally certified as a Biofeedback practitioner through BCIA.org. He is also the author of Swami Hari: I am a simple forest monk, which is available on Amazon. All profits from the sale of the book go to SRIVERM, the school in the remote Himalayas founded by Swami Hari.
Nikki Strong, PhD- In addition to practicing and teaching Himalayan Meditation, she is also a longtime practitioner of hatha yoga, tai chi, kung fu, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
