Thursday Satsang: “Moving Seasonally from Summer to Fall with a Supportive Asana Practice”with Lori Beron – October 17, 2019

Thursday Satsang – October 17, 2019

“Moving Seasonally from Summer to Fall with a Supportive Asana Practice”with Lori Beron.

We will talk about paying attention to which attributes are manifesting in your life as we move from summer to autumn and intentionally create a supportive asana practice. We will review very basic Ayurveda concepts and learn to listen to the subtle language of the body as we explore applying seasonal themes to our asanas. Moving from the heat of the summer where pitta characteristics predominate to the autumn where dry and cold vata predominate, we will practice simple postures with breath awareness to keep ourselves in harmony with the seasons.   Lori Beron is an initiate and certified teacher through the Himalayan Yoga Tradition as well as a Certified Holistic

Nurse. Lori has an MA in Holistic Health Studies and is employed as an RN on a surgical oncology unit at t he  University of Minnesota Health.   Lori took a 3-year Vanaprastha Vow from Swami Veda Bharati during the 2013 Sangha Gathering. (Vanaprastha is a stage in life where one lessens worldly attachments.)
