Integrate

Lifestyle & Wellness

Embrace a holistic understanding of wellness and health to support balance, resilience, and a more conscious way of living.

Wellness as the path of conscious living

Lifestyle and wellness classes and offerings at the Meditation Center extend the practice of yoga beyond the mat and meditation cushion. Along with Ayurveda and biofeedback, these programs may explore vegetarian cooking, writing as spiritual practice, music as meditation, and other supportive practices that encourage balance and vitality. The underlying intention is to help people live in ways that support steadiness of body, calmness of mind, and greater ease in daily life.

These opportunities approach wellness as a holistic process rather than a collection of separate techniques. Whether exploring physical health and regulation, creative expression, or contemplative practice, participants are invited to discover habits that nourish both inner and outer well-being. In this way, the center’s lifestyle and wellness offerings complement its meditation and yoga programs by offering practical ways to make yogic principles part of everyday living.

Wellness Highlight

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a traditional system of health and well-being that views each person as a unique expression of body, mind, senses, environment, and natural rhythms. Its practical teachings offer ways to understand individual constitution, support balance, and make thoughtful choices about daily routines, nourishment, rest, and self-care.

At the Meditation Center, Ayurveda offerings are led by Gary and Cynthia Gran, Ayurvedic educators and expert practitioners, adept at all Ayurvedic modalities. If you’d like to learn how Ayurveda can support you, or inquire about a private consultation, please contact Gary and Cindy directly at gcgran6@gmail.com.

Wellness Highlight

Biofeedback

Biofeedback is well-recognized as a powerful, non-invasive, and relatively simple way to measure subtle changes in emotional and physiological states, increasing self-awareness and supporting the process of learning self-regulation.  Simple sensors can be attached to the skin to monitor respiration, heart rate, skin temperature, muscle tension, and more.

At the Meditation Center, biofeedback sessions are offered by Daniel Hertz as a practical complement to meditation and lifestyle practices, with sessions tailored to each person’s needs. If you’d like to learn more or explore whether biofeedback might work for you, reach out directly to Daniel at danielhertz4635@yahoo.com for additional information or to inquire about setting up a session.
